Today I was looking through some old documentation from my Father's days as an importer and operator. I came across some incredible documentation. Pricelists of NEW and USED Pinballs, Juke Boxes, Bingos and other amusement machines. I believe this priceist is from 1974 - as the "NEW" Bingo is a Bally Bingo - "Bali" which was released in 1974.
Dad used to pick the games he wanted and then fly over to the USA to organize the import. This is well before the days of importing containers that we know today. Many Bally bingos were either new, or second hand. He imported hundreds of Bingos, starting in the late 1950's. I have found some amazing documentation, but I want to add each document to it's own thread. This thread is more or less about the Bingos and Jukeboxes. Of particular notice - The NEW Bally BALI Bingo cost US$2795 - That was a massive amount of coin for 1974.
Of the games on this list, I believe that he imported at least the following - I'm I'm going off memory and from the documentation ;
Palm Beach, Showtime, Big Time, Nite Club, Key West, Miami Beach, Broadway, Big Show, Beach Beauty, Miss America 1975
I'm not a Juke box expert, but I remember the crates the Continental II, Music Merchant and Tropicana Jokes Boxes arrived in. They were literally dropped off in the late next to the Workshop in a long row.
I found a few really interesting documents that I'll post in the next few days. I'm thrilled that Dad kept it and I can share it with you all !
