What will Stern"s new screen be like ?
« on: February 12, 2016, 12:40:50 AM »
So if the DMD at Stern is in its final days, what do u think Stern will replace it with ?

Will it be the larger sized DMD that Batman Forever & Frankenstein had size wise ?
Will it be a multi coloured DMD style configuration that Twilight just got from ColorDMD etc.

Or will it be totally LCD style in some way like JJP ?
Will it be smaller or the same size ?

Will it be where the std Stern DMD has always been placed or higher in the back box ?
If it is higher, what will go where the Std DMD used to be ?

What would YOU like to see ?

What is your personal choice ?

Floors open to new and old and exciting ideas on where Stern will take this next !

Post away guys.  ^^^

I hope so, still nice to have plenty of room for backglass/translite art.

Same size as the Sega display used on Baywatch. Nothing overbearing like the JJP TV screen - that has always been a huge eyesore.

+1  I love graphics but hey its pinball, I finding it harder every day to follow the ball, I don't have much time to look at a screen

+1 Would be perfect.  Love to this size used, especially if it can easily be used as an alternate for this hard to get Sega display.

I hope it's not much bigger than the DMD. Those huge screens in JJP pins are not my scene at all.

Great to see a lot of people agree that the Sega size displays are so popular and wanted again.

When I play my Frankenstein or Batman Forever or the others with this size display, u realise & wonder why it wasn't used as the std from that stage on because it is so so much better than the small Std size.
Cost cutting again killed a great development but hopefully the large DMD will make a comeback with enhancements.
