Getaway - supercharger magnet 1 locks on
« on: April 13, 2018, 01:45:16 PM »
my 1st magnet coil in the supercharger locks on when I power on my game and some times blows the F103 fuse.

I have a new Homepin supercharger board.
Optos are all good.
would this lock on be due to a bad tip102 on the soleniod driver board or is it the tip36 on the supercharger board? I compared the tip102 with other one and it tested ok and assumed the Homepin board would be good as its new/ !@#

Tip36c tested bad and replaced it. Now the magnet doesnt lock
on but after a few shots into the supercharger it blows the F103 fuse. Does this mean its a bad magnet?

Why did you replace the board with the Homepin version? Was the issue there before?

Quite possibly. And if the magnet was bad it could have taken out the tip36c on the new board. I have chased my tail before with dodgy coils... Replace transistor, still same symptoms, replace coil then it locks on due to old bad coil taking out 1st new transistor!

I thought it was a board issue or thought to would be easier to replace it.

Problem has been resolved - I replaced the tip 102 and 36c on my old SC board and now it works very well. Not sure why the Homepin board failed.
