Coil sleeve sizes for Gottlieb coils
« on: June 03, 2009, 05:03:15 PM »
Hi guys,

Does anyone have a list of the correct coil sleeve vs coil for Gottliebs?

I've checked the BH manual but cannot seem to find it?

Many of my sleeves are still the old brass ones, so I guess they should be swapped out?

Slightly smaller than the 1 3/4 - in fact - I ordered the last lot from PBR and they had a size of 1 1/4 specified for Gottlieb. I will check for you - but they are smaller than the standard 1 3/4

Thanks again Nino, as always.

Just out of interest, I'm tumbling a brass one (just for kicks).  Do you ever reuse these or is that a no no?

I have a few machines with the brass still installed i figure if there is no play and the plunger moves freely then why not keep em original?   They have survived 50 years whats a few more lol

Once its clean I'll see how it goes.

If the sleeves are the same size (ie flippers, slings, pop bumpers etc) then thats easy and I can just buy a heap (if Greg ever comes back!)

If they are 1 1/4 I don't think anyone here stocks them.  Might be PBR again.

Have you a p/n for them as I couldn't find them on the website either!

Sorry mate - I stuffed up - the 1 1/4 must have been for the score reels ! Steve sells the 1 3/4. Most of the coil sleeves I've bought from other places are SLIGHTLY longer. I bought quite a few off PBR years ago - and on the bag, Steve wrote "Gottlieb - Standard".
