Hi from Bowral
« on: August 28, 2009, 10:59:34 PM »
Hi All, My name is Ed and I live in Bowral NSW. I have also been bitten by the Pinball bug, man it really does become a passion. I just finished converting a gazebo into a "home office" and boy I am going to love working from home. Up to now the pins have been stored in corners of kids bedrooms and so the office was a must.  It's pretty small and can only fit 3 machines but happy as a lark. Will sort out the power over summer so will have a permanent supply and then job done!

Currently have: Star Wars (the fam loves this one), just got a Space Station (good) and a Space Invaders ( man this is the gas but my wife hates the picture). The SI is not set up yet as am getting some bits and pieces to get her up to standard if you know what I mean. !^!

It's great that there is a such a well run forum out there for this hobby. Thanks to all. Cheers.

Howdy Ed, welcome to AP.

Some good variety in your collection - and remember - one pinball is a novelty, two just the start of a collection, so as you've got three you are a full on collector!

I've got a DE SW - is that the SW you have? Fun game.

Sorry, but have to disagree with mrs thefasteddy69 - I love the SI backglass.

Hi Guys, Thanks for the welcome. The Space theme kinda happened that way, I also have an cocktail SI machine as well.
Just realised Im sitting here in a Sar Trek t-shirt to boot. Crikey.

The Star Wars is the DE machine and does play well. It's great watching the 6 & 10 years old play they really get into it.

The SI is my fav for sure, pretty much ever since riding the pushy for 1/2 hour to the roller rink in Cairns every Saturday and putting all my pocket money into it. Will get the SI finished one day $$$. Soon. Really soon if my wife doesnt find the offshore pinball bank account.

Hey Wotto, we have spoken in the past year when you were selling the Genie I think. Good work with the site by the way. Cheers.

 $.$ and  %)% to AP Fasteddy !!

I had a really nice Space Invaders - Loved the artwork and that infamous backglass. My wife hated the backglass (gave her bigger nightmares than me!) - So I sold it and eventually replaced it with a Medusa (go figure)..

G'day, Eddy and welcome.

You're also reasonably close to Canberra.  There's a few of us here (I think).

Will most likely have a couple of questions over the next couple of weeks re playfield restore techniques etc.

Cheers.
