HELP please
« on: October 08, 2009, 11:19:47 PM »
^&^Thought someone may come across this problem.
73 Jumping Jack - Game resets ok, Launch ball then this this starts to happen - As soon as a POP BUMPER is activated or the FLIPPERS activated, the game seems to reset (That is Drop targets pop up,score motor seems to do a reset, score does not reset however. If you let the ball drain it goes to next player ok but as soon as the flippers are pressed or PopBumper activated it does this reset again. Have been through all switches 3 times but cant seem to solve this one.

That's an interesting problem !

Both the flippers and the bumpers create vibration. Sounds like a switch is out of adjustment and the vibration is enough to trigger the reset. Considering they are in close proximity to each other - I wonder if you "tap" the general area with your fist it would recreate the problem. I don't have schematics - so if I was standing in front of the game right now - I'd be trying that !

Problem solved - Ball eject points were too close - Vibration from flippers and bumpers were closing the outhole switch blade thus telling the machine there was a ball in the outhole which reset. &^& Hope this makes sense.
Thanks everyone for the tips.
