Intro and some advice?

Hi guys,

Just thought I'd introduce myself and take the opportunity to ask a question or two. I've been in possession of a 1979 Atari Superman pinball machine for the past 10 years or so. I've attempted to restore it countless times but I only get to the point where I clean the glass, playfield etc and put the rest in the too hard basket. Anyhow I've just got it out of storage again and fired it up but there's no sound. Everything else mostly works fine but I'm not getting any sound so I think its about time I get a little more serious and give it an overhaul.

I'm in the NE suburbs of VIC (Montmorency). Anyone local that could give me a hand getting started? I'd like to get a general idea of what needs to be fixed (other than the sound), where I can source parts from and some tips/tricks for rookies. Happy to spend a bit of cash or shout a BBQ and beers 

BTW - if anyone has any ideas about where to start with chasing down the sound problem, I'm all ears.

                           Im currently working on a Atari Middle earth.    Mine had sound issues all i did to fix mine were remove the plugs from the Auxilary PCB and push them back on  See how you go (Do this with the machien off)

Thanks for the info guys. Still can't get the sound working and I've managed to break a latch decoder in the meantime  Now nothing's working on the table apart from the flippers.

Time to call a tech I reckon!
