AP TRON OWNERS/BUYERS ???
« on: March 20, 2012, 12:29:56 AM »
I know a few people were looking at buying a TRON PRO or a TRON LE a while back, and know a few people may have/did buy the LE  model.

I wanted anyone who bought a TRON (either Pro or LE) to provide some feedback please as to how you have found the machine ! (or any AP member who has been to someone's house and played the TRON alot to share feedback too pls)

I am a fan of the title, and really like all the artwork they have designed, along with the playfield layout and 3rd flipper/spinning disk/motorised taget bank etc.

Any AP member with any home photos, or any feedback of your TRON game would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.  ^^^

I played a Tron LE last year, one of Luke's so blinged up but very cool - the LE has a few features that really set this machine off from the pro - especially the programmed fibre optic cable around the ramps - just looks stunning. I have heard that it is a better player but since I haven't played the Pro - hard for me to compare - except with the lit ramps looks absolutely stunning. If a LE came up and a good price I would be very tempted.

I have asked around and it seems not many TRONS were purchased in Australia, either the Pro or the LE, maybe only a dozen or two ?  Surprising really cause the artwork n playfield looks very inviting. Thanks Swinksy  ^^^

Ok, Interesting Pete, any more detailed info as to how/why/when/what etc. Was it a LE. Did he change his mind a few months later and miss the machine or something ?

Here is a photo of the one I played Cavey, Chrome rails, mirror blades, leds, had a sub kit and shaker.

The lights on the ramps look awesome and flash and cycle differently to suit the game flow, fades, pulsing etc using colours like orange, red, blue green, pink, purple and yellow and there probably were many others.

You could get a regular pro version and then do orange el wire on one ramp and blue on the other and wired it up so it switches on and off with a feature.
