Hi Peoples,
I am toying with the idea of building a test bench to test WMS circuit boards.
I would have no problems building a test bench but it would be interesting to see how the propper WMS test benches where designed.

thanks guys  ^^^

Been trying to buy some of these for years, and I'm always a day late.. have called a couple distributors to find that theirs went in the dumpster that was just emptied yesterday!

did any of them have schematic diagrams with them?

if you could take a few photos of the ones that tests WPC & or WPC 95 with the back cover off. (if its to much hard work don't worry about it, i realise you are always quiet busy)

I would like to see what they use as a dummy load for the solenoid circuit.
I do have a circuit in mind but its always good to see what has been used.

Thanks Mark

What about the Data East, Sega machines etc etc. You might as well design something that can test all Manufacturers.

Will be interesting to see what you come up
With Andrew.  For a load could you run a knocker coil in series along your power wire then complete the circuit
Through each output with a build in LED for visual of which coil
Is being tested?

If this makes no send ask me again in the morning when I sober up lol

Theoretically, a WMS Sys 3-11 tester could be built that would also easily test DE boards, since those boards are all quite similar.

good idea, but i will try to avoid using coils.

A big thank you to the member who sent me a copy of the schematics.
My theory was right, they use resistors as a load for the coil circuits.

I have a NOS fliptronics load test assy, was released as an add-on for the WPC-89 test rig. It uses large resistors.

Can also be used by plugging it into a game and using a test ROM in a machine. Of course, all you can test with it is a fliptronics board.

Can you post the schematics here or somewhere on the web for all of us to see?

unfortunatly it is a very poor photo copy I tried scaning it but its impossible to read so all i can do is list the value of the resistors
