Stencil work required.
« on: February 02, 2011, 01:07:59 PM »
Hey guys,

Have been holding onto some money and i think its time that i look into spending it.

I am looking for someone to re-stencil my pinball. Can anyone make any recommendations please? Vouching is highly appropriate.  #*#

After a top notch job. Can anyone who is interested in doing this please pm me. I would like like to find out cost and time frame. If you can pick up the pinball good, otherwise i can arrange to get it to you.

I do have the stencils (came today), and the cabinent is in generally good condition.

Let me know guys.

Thanks.

I'm flat out and I doubt I will have any time within the next 12 months. I will be doing a few Bally SS & GTB EM repaints over the next two years or so.

Not sure if MartyJ or Timbo have ventured into the repaint with stencils, but both come highly recommended on full decal refinishing. I'm sure someone might be able to help !

I'm pretty sure I've seen this machine mid last year.  It (the game) was in great shape overall and will come up very nice.

I'm fully booked with a full resto of a CV, Addams (brand new cabinet, playfield, plastics & everything!) and I have a yet another Funhouse playfield to repair / clear, a Stargate playfield to clear, a NOS Revenge From Mars to clear and thats just for the next couple of months..Unfortunately I'm fully booked.

El_Timbo might be the man to speak to unless one of the other Melb guys is available...

Why not try it yourself?   Quite a few threads on how to on this site, it seems just systematic work in the preparation.   Maybe offer a member who knows what they are doing a case of beer or other suitable inducement to come in and check up on you at or just before critical stages?

Yeah, will drop el_timbo an email. Asked him about a full restore but was outta my proce range at the time. Have decided it may be better to dop this sort of thing in stages.

Will wait and see what he says

Unfortunately I too am fully booked until mid March.

Between playfields and complete machines i simply dont have the workshop footprint to house another game.

If you arent keen on giving it a go yourself, I can let you know when a place in the queue opens up. Obviously, you dont have to TAKE the position etc, this is simply an offer  ^^^

Here is a pinbot that i am currently building for a client. This is just after paint, and will be sanded back, sharpened up where required and cleared with a flatting base.

Side stenciled out...

Backbox unmasked...

Left to set up for a few days before i go any further...
