my fishtails keeps shooting balls
« on: June 12, 2011, 09:28:20 PM »
hello, hope all is well,, have a small problem with my fish tails,,  l just changed the fishing real drive belt. befor that all is fine, since l changed the belt, the machine thinks it only has two balls , and searches for the missing ball, but the ball is there, also on a game when you loose a ball, and when it shoots out from the trough, it shoots the ball onto the playfield, without pressing the button, everytime while on a game..  l have taken off the sensors, while replacing the real belt, but l put them back on assembly, do you have to set that real, or dose it sets it self,,was ok befor a touched it,,any ideas??   regards john

try doing a factory setting reset, I have had problems a bit silmalar with optos and sometimes a reset is all it needs, quite odd !@#
Check that the optos are alligned and get a camera out and check to see if you can see the beam, appariently most cameras can see the ir beam. if you can see a beam on other optos except one, that one eiter has a loose wire or is no good anymore !@#
Good Luck! ^^^

ok,,l did  switch test, found ball trough number 1 is staying open, trough 2 and 3 are closed, shows on the screen,,but trough 1 shows open on the screen, lt still clicks, when you click it manully , on screen shows open, tested with my MM, shows ok,, has a diode,, could it be that, how do l test a diode? l never touched any of those when l changed the real rubber.. will try the camera trick,,
