Is this for real.
« on: July 14, 2011, 10:15:41 PM »
  Hi everyone.
I am new here and going to need your support rebuilding my Firepower 2 machine soon.

What is confusing me at the moment, is I stumbled upon a Cue ball machine on Ebay and its selling for over $990,000.00.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120745869646&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Is this for real?
I asked a mate and he said it looks like some scam going on, but honestly I am confused with it all.
The questions asked and replies posted on ebay seem very odd where something does not add up.

Any ideas what is going on?

Hello - there is a thread about it somewhere - just the usual eBay "Jesus toast" kind of prank I guess.....

Haha!
I saw that a few(?) days ago and the questions/answers had me scratching my head.
The price when I looked at it was just over a grand.
I wonder if eBay are gonna try and collect their fee's?!  !@#

Welcome aboard, plenty of help should be available re Firepower 2 - just ask!

The Cue Ball Wizard has turned into a joke. It's probably worth $1,000 or so at best.

Hi, and thanks everyone for the welcome,,,
I've had the firepower for only a few weeks, and its proving to be a bigger project than expected.
A lot of issues with the MPU and driver board that need attention, so waiting for components to arrive.
Besides that the old girl has done a million miles, and I have worked under the play field bringing it upto standard.
The cabinet is in top condition and why I feel its worth spending time ironing out the bugs. I think.???

I have been reading a lot in the technical section here trying to understand the common circuit issues, and it sure is overwhelming to say the least.
Will keep reading and studying the circuit diagrams until it all clicks.
Just can't wait to get it working right as it will bring back a lot of good memories.

Regards Phil...

If u need any advice, since u are in QLD, send a PM to BEAKY (Andrew) who does onsite servicing etc, if u are in the Gold Coast/Brisbane areas.

Otherwise, if u are up North, there are members who live way up as well.  ^^^
