vinyl pinball sound?

Here is a pic of an English pinball circa 1938.

As you can see it features sounds/music/speech from a turntable!
And a "good old valve amp"
How they coped with vibration - Lord knows.
One nudge & your record (78?) would be cactus . . .  @.@

I can't find any more info on this machine - anyone?
