Rubber on the playfield support
« on: November 26, 2011, 04:32:34 PM »
Pinball terminology is not one of my strong suits but I would like to know what is the purpose of the rubber ring that I sometimes see dangling from the support arm to keep the playfield up or at a 45 degree or so angle. Hope you guys know what I'm talking about.

If you know how to use it would be great to share the knowledge. I can only see that it would tension the arm against a loop clip and maybe stop it from falling???

Thought it may be to stop the arm scratching or rattling on the side of the cabinet??   !@#

I think its to loop over the bracket the arm sits on to stop it moving around in transit

Holds the rod down during shipping. Slides over the prop rod and the hook it sits in when lowered.

Jeez I would have thought it was used for more than just that.

By the way is there any way to stabilize the support when the playfield is up. I find it very unstable and a worry it will slip and the pf comes crashing down.
