Black Knight voltage conversion

Hello everyone,

I need to convert a BK from US 120V to run on our 240V.  I can't find the manual (with the blue cover) online. I've found the instruction booklet but this doesn't have the transformer connection table. Does anyone have a link to it?

Anyhow, I believe there are four steps involved in the conversion:

1. Change the plug.

2. Re-wire the transformer.

Here's the whole transformer assembly:

So I believe I need to change the connections on this molex connector.


 
Does anyone know what the nw configuration should look like?

3.Change the varistor.  I have this varistor:



It's rated at 275VAC with a surge current of 6000A (1 time) and 4500A (2 times), will this do the job?

4. Change the fuse (bottom right):



It says I need a 4A fuse, I have a 5A, will this be OK or should I get another?

Hi Anthony, here is a pick of my Black Knight transformer and the plug. I hav the blue BK manuel but it dont say much about the transformer. Hope this helps you

Thanks, that's exactly what I was after, looks like it will be easy to repin. I see yours is the early prototype with the transformer in the head, the transformer is in the base of the cabinet in the machine I have here.

I should have also mentioned to everyone that the text next to the fuse says a 4A fuse is required for 220V, 8A for 117V.

Yes, the transformer in mine is in the back box, it dident hav a cage around the trans when I got my BK.  Hav to watch I dont touch it while the game is on, might get a ZAP out of it

OK, so does any one know which extractor tool is required to get the female pins out of the Molex connector housing (and where to get one)? Ive got the Hanlong HT-319D pin extractor which is supposed to be for the female pins, but it doesn't fit.

yep, the one I have is the female pin extractor from Jaycar but it doesn't fit over the female pins, the inside diameter is too small. That set from Jaycar must be for a different size molex pin becase neither the male or female fit.
