Stern Playboy - Switch error
« on: January 31, 2012, 04:24:13 PM »
Guys,

I have just been contacted by someone locally who has a Stern Playboy machine.  It has an error on it saying check switch 15.  Does anyone know any details about sw15 on this machine such as location and type (opto or other).

The guy has asked me to go over to his place to have a look at it and I am not very familiar at all with the Stern machines and don't know if I will just be wasting my time or not.

Even a copy of the switch matrix or something like that would be great.

Thanks.

If all else fails, go into switch test, start hitting switches and see what reports on the DMD. You can probably narrow it to an area and then figure the switch that isn't working.

Then figure out if it's flaky, broken, or a broken wire or poor connection in an IDC connector nearby.

LTG :)
