Hello from Central West NSW
« on: March 11, 2012, 06:41:02 PM »
Hello all,

About time i introduced myself, my name is Michael and i live just out of Bathurst, about 25km. Will be looking to buy my first pinball this year, one of many i hope to turn my garage into an arcade room. My favourite machine is the Bally 1978 Playboy, it may not be he first one i buy but i will buy one eventually. I am also in the market for a pokie machine too if they still exist in good condition for the right price. If anyone can help with either that would be great! Mick.

Welcome mate to a great forum with lots of great blokes/collectors/restorers and pinball enthusiasts.  ^^^

Bathurst is a great city. and YES, we love the V8's on here as well.

When looking to buy the era of pinball u have mentioned, contact our illustrious leader Nino(strangeways) as he specialises in that era of machine and does the best restorations in the country (and El Tinmbo another member) at great honest prices.  ^^^

welcome.  ^^^

You've joined a great forum, plenty of people willing to give you a hand - be it fixing pins, help with inspecting / buying, or just general pin advice.

Oh, and just because you're near Bathurst - "Go Holden!!" %.%

Thanks guys, it's not quite as competitive as Holden vs Ford  (that changes this year by the way), but i guess it s still on, Bally vs Williams etc, but then the vintage of the machine is also involved, invoking even greater passions no matter what badge is on the machine, bring it on!

Uh oh...there goes the neighbourhood! haha

Welcome Michael! So now that our jobs are secure, does that mean we can buy pinball machines?

Good to see you on board at Aussie Pinball. Great bunch of people on this forum.

Cheers!
Adam.

Hi Delarge,

Yep, it's on again , off again. Finances have been all over the shop. Have recouped a little, so hoping to be on the prowl. I unfortunately was unable to buy the machine that Wotto had on offer, the Bally 'Mystic' due to extending family circumstances. Looked like a great playing machine and i love the Incan/Pyramid/Third Eye theme also. I really like combos of drop targets and kick balls. And yes, there are a great bunch of people here, normally with forums i am happy to just lurk in the background, reading, watching, but now i feel i must get out there in order to become part of my own dream, bring it on! Thanks, Mick.
