Had to let anyone know that may not have heard yet.
CPR are going to do Banzai Run Playfields.
I just picked up a Banzai Run that has some playfield issues and a few days later I saw this. Sweet!
From RGP:
"CPR is happy to announce we have finally been given an "all clear to go"
on the Banzai Run playfield, after 3 years of having the completed
artwork (unrevealed to the public) from CPR Artist MIKE MILLS.
Due to previous rejection of approval to run them from The Pinball
Factory back in 2009, Mike's artwork was already done, but we got halted
on making them. (Wayne had his own plans for getting the playfield done
via other channels). We were thus never able to post a preorder, reveal
we had the artwork, or even post credit to Mike Mills on his profile
having done the art package. As past Banzai customers know, we did the
backglass and the plastics...what you didn't know is that the original
plan was to produce the "trilogy" that also included the playfield.
Well now that trilogy can finally come to completion!
We'll collect names for the next 6-8 months and see who steps up for
this playfield. Keep in mind, this playfield is in a "ready status"
because we have the complete art package in storage. It is not a "work
in progress" with an artist.
For whose who will undoubtedly ask, this is the MAIN playfield only. We
will not be doing the vertical "playfield" behind the backglass. At
least not anytime soon. If 100+ people take playfields, that opens up a
whole new case for the vertical board. If only 30-40, not so much."
