WTB ADDAMS FAMILY BOOKCASE SHAFT / ROD THINGY

Hi guys it's a long shot I'm repairing an Addams family at the moment and the owner had tried to replace the bookcase base himself with no luck.  Sadly they have lost the rod or shaft that goes through the center of the book case into the pivot bush in the base.  Would anyone have one of these floating around? &^&

Let me know what diameter rod it should be and I'll have a hunt around at work.
I can mill a flat on it if you need, if it needs a groove for a clip I can machine one into it.
