Anyone Know Anything About Coke Vending Machines?

Hey guys fixed a guys pinball machine a while back and he has asked me to look at his coke vending machine.  Coin mech isn't working but wants to put it so cans are free...   Has anyone done this before?  Or know how?

What era is it.. electronic or leaf switch?

That's what there doing at the moment Damien just opening the door 

 It's electronic and fairly new as it gave change when it was working.

It should just be a matter of finding the solenoid (or motor) that activates the can-dispenser, then install a switch on the controlling side, probably controlling the solenoid driver transistor, or even just switching the solenoid coil via the switch to ground (or +ve).
