All sorted - thanks to all those that assisted with info

New IC socketed in this time and the guy found one trace not working so he fixed that
Mates T2 machine is good again.

good to hear mate. A general rule of thumb is to replace ICs with sockets.

Another good rule of thumb is "don't try repairing pcb's after too many drinks" your work looks great at the time and in the morning your pcb looks like its been nay palmed (don't think that's how you spell it)  @.@
