Strange WPC (T2) Memory reset problem

Hi Guys,

Always the way when working on these things,

went over to help a mate with a few simple Pf mech issues on his recently purchased T2,

While playing with it and turning power on and off frequently,

its started to Factory reset itself,clearing all high scores and user defined presets..

Hed already replaced batteries etc and Pack voltage reads 4.7v which looks good..

Anything else I should look at?

Its got a mod done on the cpu board on U10 I dont like the look of...but had been working till I disturbed the Machine!

check for battery voltage on both sides of diode d2 on the cpu board. these fail from time to time
also check if the d2 has gone short, if it has then the circuit will be trying to recharge the batteries

All tested fine including the pins at the Rom chip..

Ive reseated all the connectors and Ics on the Cpu board and it seems to have gone away for now...

Still not sure what the Mod at U10 is for..
