Had to Move My Pin Downstairs

Well the wife decided it was time to move the pin downstairs.  God I was dreading this day!!!

I have done this before when I swapped my old GNR pin for a second one I had bought in better condition.  That day I had to take the new one upstairs and the old one downstairs.  That sucked!!!

The problem is there is no room to spin it half way down the staircase, then tip it up on its end and then shuffle along angled steps.  Damn wide body machines it's almost as wide as the staircase!

No damage to the pin in the end although the wall copped some damage.  The good news is it helped me diagnose an intermittant flipper problem.  I fired it up once it was down stairs and one flipper wouldn't work.  Looked at the flipper board and one fuse is hanging out at a 45 degree angle.  Turns out the clip was broken.

Love your priorities.  Same as mine.  Who cares about damage to the house.  Look after the pin.

Exactly. much easier to fill and paint a wall to make it look good again than a pin.

Best thing is I have the green light on getting another pin, so I'm on the prowl!

I had the same staircase......I moved and built a house with the smallest doorway being 1100mm opening.

The only problem is I can't plan on retirement any time soon

We are looking at moving within the next 1-2 years and one of my main priorities when moving is room for multiple pins - in an easily accessible location.

Very nice colour in the cab on that machine too. The reds are usually very faded.

Glad you kept the priorities in order. Pin > Wall.
