Playfield "BALL LANE" Timber ????
« on: March 15, 2009, 10:24:36 PM »
Hi All,

I'm looking into restoring/replacing the timber strips that form the main plunger ball-lane, which also doubles as the outer frame around the playfield edges...

Is this a specific type of timber? do the manufacturers all stick to the same timber or whatever they feel is best?

Is it simply a decent stick of hardwood, and nothing more elaborate than that????

Thanx in advance,
MM.

The ones on my T2 (which I thought were painted) - are not.  Its a cross between contact type stuff and powdercoat?  Interesting.  I think it was just hardwood.
