Mate - looks fine to me. Keep in mind, that when these were in production, a brass plate (stencil) was hung in front of the cab and the painting was all done in 5-10 minutes. It was so quick and nasty back then - mis registered, wrong colours, overspray and underspray - all these mistakes add to the character. Here we are, 40 years later spending 20-30 hours doing something that originally took a few minutes !

Thanks guys after walking away for a few hours it really didnt look that bad I've started on the other side now so see how it goes.   On question do they make decent masking tape anymore?? Stuffed if I can find any

Well I almost got this section finished this weekend.   Cabinet is resprayed just didn't get time to finish the wooden surround.   Oh well it's looking way better than the shitty black someone painted it.

Well while I was off sick from work I had time to sort through some of my photos and found a few for this thread.

  I've now stained the heads surround still needs a couple of coats but is unbelievably close to the original which I'm very happy about. 

 Also started on the pin mechs.   Took a while to bring myself to pull them apart but are far more simple than I first thought.  One down 9 to go lol
