Wanted to buy- Johnny Mnemonic Pinball
« on: March 19, 2013, 12:11:47 AM »
I am wanting to buy a Johnny Mnemonic Pinball Machine.

Playfield must be excellent, or close to it. Prefer a cabinet with good colour or close if possible. Prefer computer boards n machine generally not to have any hacks, but am open minded incase machine is fully working but has something fixable. Machine must have nothing major missing, and a nice clean example is sought with glove working preferrably.

Dont mind if machine is local or interstate.

Any leads, please PM me.

Thankyou

Brett

Australian Pinball Restorations has one. I wouldn't mind one myself if I had the funds.

JM.....WHY?

Heres the promo video.

I reckon its a bit of a sleeper for sure for a few reasons.
Firstly its one of George Gomez's best designs when he was passionate about designing. (see how young he was in the video - 1995, 17 yrs ago)
Its years ahead of itself with the glove and other mechanical wonders.
The shape of the playfield inserts is really unusual and striking with the triangle shapes.
I can look past the movie n when u focus on the pinball only, it looks to be something different n fun !
I think the pinball machine is a cracker. The cabinets are always faded but I have a secret plan (he rubs his hands together  %.%)

Disclosure: I have sent Brett an email and have one for sale.

BUT - i reckon this is an absolute cracker of a game.  I have two, and plan to offload one and keep the other.

It is simply the fastest game i have ever played - the outer loops are insanely fast. Excellent flow and combos with the ramps/loops.

The rules are really in good in that i love how you have to think about where to place to the ball in the matrix to maximise scores/bonuses/jackpots, and also remember what the awards are for that particular game (changes randomly every game).  Also looks great with LEDs fitted out.

I have never watched the movie, so I am going to find it on the computer and watch it.
I find it always makes u enjoy the pinball more when u really know the storyline properly.  ^^^

You are spot on.

I watched it, and it was a shocker.  ^&^

It was made in Japan by the looks of it, and it was low budget to say the least. It could have been great, given a increase in budget by a cool extra 20 million, but it just got worse the longer it went.lol    You watch the Matrix movies, and they were sooo much better, even though Keanu Reeves is not much chop in any movie unless he is surrounded by much better actors.  His voice is the hardest thing, it never changes pitch, its like he is tone deaf.

I thought watching the movie might enhance the pinball experience, but at this stage I am going for some hypnotherapy to get told it was an amazing movie, and whilst I am there, I will get some extra hypnotherapy to get my memories of my x wife erased as well. lol  %.% %.%
