Well said.

I was thinking only today what it would of been like working at one of the big 5 pinny manufacturers during the boom years when they were all trying to out do each other in the 90's DMD days. The buzz would have been great.

If that buzz can come back with all these new companies today, it means better pinballs for the buyers. I hope Gary Stern getting an award stirs some of the others up to try n kick his arse, thats what pinball needs. At the moment its not awards getting the others fired up, its a desire to bring in income. Hopefully they all have great egos n try n out do each other. Hopefully the buzz of the 90's will return for a good time to come.

Enjoyed reading the above 3 posts spot on! It's great for stern that they have hit a home run with acdc but its more than that its great for pinball cause with the huge sales comes money and that I'm sure will be spent in development for future great titles with better toys and so on, ROCK ON PINBALL its has a great future.

I'm happy for ANY manufacturer of a pinball machine. I'm happy for Stern supporters to bathe in the success of AC/DC (which IS Stern's best release in 10 years), and I welcome newcomers like JJP, Spooky, Heighway and anyone else that goes to the effort of preserving the hobby.

I think the future is VERY bright. I just don't want to see the day where manufacturers divide the hobby. It is just not needed. A lot of the "older heads" have their favorite manufacturers, but you NEVER hear of one manufacturer getting bagged from pillar to post like we hear these days. Chill out and enjoy the renaissance. There more than enough room for everyone, and competition is good ! The old days had four or five manufacturers, and the WINNER was the player.

We should see the next generation prosper by being as positive as possible.

+1 Great post!  ^^^
