remove the word pinball and stern's logo and this could be a great Premium Cabinet artwork with the band added, I wonder  !@#

This game does look good but since not a metallica fan still not willing to consider a purchase, interested to hear thoughts from those that aren't metallica fans of the following idea.

It would be cool if a setting could be introduced where you have either all the music like the current with it dominating the game or the music sits more in the background like say in Iron Man where it is maybe the instrumental less the singing giving you that rocking sound but not a jukebox / cd player feel. The instrumental music could possibly blend into each other for various modes and suit the traditional pin sound flow. Also because the update size might be huge or possibly not possible have 2 updates A. singing and B. no singing. I reckon a few more sales could be achieved off the non metal heads and I would seriously look at getting one.

I have seen posts where people turn the music down, I don't think that is the answer as then the game is then dominated by sound effects so not a great solution and still a jukebox sound.

Interested to hear other peoples thoughts.

Great idea swinks.

I'm an Acdc fan and would be reluctant to own their pinball as even though only having a handfull of songs I would get sick of them quick. Playing it at timezone for only 30 mins was enough for me. Gameplay was fine but having the songs as background rather than it being a dominating part of the experience would be an excellent option.

Anthony.

Best leave songs as is otherwise you might get karaoke singers come up while you play and stuff up your concentration.
Really funny now when I hear AC/DC song on radio, my mind goes straight to that song's specific game play. Metallica would be the same. Also, not sure if the band would want the singing removed.

Played both of the 2 Metallica pros yesterday arvo at Timezone Gold Coast.

Well Stern have done an awesome job with this title, artwork is very colourful and the pf and cabinet are both just stunning to say the least.

Its a fast playing pin and ramps are very steep, really enjoyed the in-line drop targets, tough shots to get them all down and get multiball ! Sparky multi ball is difficult to get as well.

Overall I really enjoyed this pin, this pinball ROCKS!!  ^^^

TZ current line up is

Metallica pro x 2
AC DC pro x 2
Xmen
Avengers
Transformers

*Notice the return of the New Arrival flag screwed to the top cabinet!!  :D
Pinballs in my collection Elvira, Stern Grand Prix, Bally Corvette, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Judge Dredd, Black Rose and Data East Guns n Roses.

The pro looks great hey! Did you have trouble dropping the in line targets? Guys in the USA are saying they don't drop all the time maybe a issue?

Peter

I noticed the same thing when I played the one at AMD about 2 weeks ago. The second drop target would randomly only drop down half way. They also felt sluggish. Maybe just need adjusting or something. The overall layout is clean and simple.

Hi Peter yes the pro is one cool pin. The inline drop targets dropped ok, just a difficult overall shot, 5 shots on one ball as they reset at the start of the next ball. Tough multi ball, mystery award only rewards 500,000 points in this early code, however this will most probably change as Lyman works his magic.

I have seen enough of this game now to know that it is through to the keeper.
Fantastic artwork for sure and the code has cool potential but it's not for me.
