- SS ramps and wireforms
- SS ramp flaps
- SS trim on the LE
- SS apron on the LE - nice

but I think how the music is meshed in will determine the non metallica fans in popping

My 16 yo daughter can save up for this one.......when she gets a job. I am not a huge fan of metal, a lot of other people are.
If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.
If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.
If you don't remember anything,  then read about it here,

I like the custom artwork on the pro best.
The rehashed "live shit: binge and purge" box set album artwork on the premium cab and photo back glass are just not as cool

As you all know I was already 'in' - but after seeing these pics I want the thing TOMORROW  @@*
I was actually going to step up to a Premium ( was thinking about that last night ) and then I saw the cab/translite and think it is awful when compared to the other models - what a shame.

I am MORE than happy to miss 2 spinner and the hammer ( basically ) and stay with the PRO.
BRING IT ON.

I'm thinking about ordering one myself now. Looks like a step up from Stern with some nice improvements and I like the theme.

If I am to buy it will be a pro.
I think I will wait and see how Star Trek pans out and then make a decision.

Stern site must be inundated. A few minutes ago I got a Service Unavailable message.

Yeah mate - I know of a few others also waiting on Star Trek details - that could be the only thing that would slightly slow sales of this current game.
As much as we would ALL love to, we cant buy every title that gets released, so pick a theme that you enjoy more ( lucky I like metal music ) and hope for the best.
However - after this package I reckon the pinball world and Stern have a tough tough act to follow.
They may have just built a new rod for thier own back  #@#

Q - is it real stainless steel or just a silver finish on ABS plastic?

Sorry for my crap load of posts
Don't apologize. Keep the posts coming through, as we're fallen behind to AA's thread, by a couple of pages.

Pro looses:
2 x spinners
4 x drops on the lhs
1 x hammer and magnet (which I think is the disappearing ball)
1 x coffin see through insert (ball lock)
1 x mechanically animated snake
1 x mechanical grave marker
1 x Metallica Laser cut speaker panels but this will be a mod for sure
led lighting, but this can be modded to people's desire

The only item which is a real game difference is the hammer, I reckon the pro will be a faster game, and the see through coffin plastic would of been nice but still reckon for the dollar the pro would be the best bang for buck, now it will just be interesting to see the game play vid - wonder if that will be released there Friday arvo so our Saturday morning.

I am not really a fan of either theme but I'm very curious as to what star trek will look like, as far as metallica goes it looks stunning and my gut is telling me to buy one. The artwork is fantastic, the pro really grabs my eye and if it plays half as good as it looks it will be EPIC. Pretty sure it is programmed by Lyman as well so that gives me confidence in code too. Keen to see some vids of gameplay with the audio cranked.
I am sure there will be plenty of pros of both titles available down the track.

Can't wait for the gameplay video.
Played AC/DC last night and i must say, that the clear ramps gives that overall "openness" playfield look.

Those ramps on Metallica do look steep and i'm concerned about the left hand ramp shot. The opening is small and it's obstructed by the in line target wall - bet ya Metallica can't do back-hand flipper shots!
