here are a few mods for those interested from a guy in the states

"Hey Everyone,

I am starting to install some Prototype mods for all Metallica machine. I have added these mods and here are the prices, plus shipping   .

Drop the Hammer mod (LE/Prem).... Plug-in for installation. LED flashers inside the ball lock hammer itself, before a coffin multi-ball this lets you know when to strike the anvil and during game play. $35.00

Mystery hole scoop flasher (All Machines).... Plug-in for installation. LED flashers in the mystery hole that ties into the coffin, there are no flashers in the machine for the mystery scoop and this mod will add a cool effect during a coffin multi-ball. $20.00

Snake Flasher (All Machines).... Plug-in for installation. LED flashers directly behind the snake, this complements the snake mod that shine the game light under the snake (All colors are available) $15.00

Apron lens mod (LE/Prem).... Solder-in for installation. LED flashers for the lens an SDTM areas. I install purple LEDs in my machine, otherwise the colors on the playfield get washed out, the purple accents them. $40.00

Current Complete kit package deal will be $95.00 plus shipping.

These will be available soon, if you are interested in them please post on this thread.

Thanks,

Steve

Here is a crude YouTube video of these mods in my machine."

Just wondering if anyone knows a good supplier for under cabinet lighting. have tried pinball life and it doesn't list metallica as compatible with eir kits? any suggestions for purchase options?

Did you want it to flash or change colour or just select a colour and it stays permanently on. For the last option you could just get something from jaycar and tap in to a power source in the cabinet and you done really cheaply.

Yeah just happy for it to be one colour not changing. What are the best options there?

Dirty Donny is doing a limited batch of 10 x custom Sparky's which I think have already sold out for $500 each so not a cheap one, BUT attached are some photos for anyone that wants to true and replicate his work.

Also you could contact him and beg and you might score one ????

It looks cool  ^^^
