RFM Opto problem
« on: July 28, 2013, 05:28:21 PM »
I have changed the optos, and put in a new opto 10 board. Still a problem, seems to work intermittently.
I havent worked on too many opto problems before, usually only just cleaning them up.
This problem has me stumped??
When i rove the optos and put them lined close together they work fine.
But when they ate installed they seem to work intermittently??
Connectors seem ok, tested ok.

Have you installed leds as I seem to recall they can play havoc with optos. Someone can confirm this.
Still loving my Metallica Premium

The opto voltages seems strange 1.5v and approx 9 v .
i think i will replace the transmitter Opto led, this time. the new set may be faulty. or the old 10 opto board may have damage the new opto? unsure.

Does anyone know if jaycar have them? If so which ones?
