I had decide to keep my RFM and though was due for a tidy up.
When having a great game on it the other day. It reset during MARTIAN BOWLING feature. After googling the problem. It appears to be software glitch which is fixed in later version from 1.4 and up.
So I decided this was must do upgrade.
Download update software form PLANETARY PINBALL. Read all the notes. Check youtube and the web.
Then armed with a working xp laptop, usb serial converter. I connected the db9 connector at the coin door and proceed to run tge software...no connection on comport 1 .???. After a little investagting found serial
Cable not connected a computer plug, was just lying in the bottom of the cabinet. Plugged it in and success. Now is working.
It worked . Now running 1.5
So any one with v1.3 or lower it is a must to update.
Next i will do the video amp upgrade.
