AC/DC I'm Addicted
« on: September 10, 2013, 08:32:34 PM »
Although I've owned games from every era I've always considered SS machines to be my genre.
3 months ago on a whim I brought a AC/DC pro the price was right and I love the band so without ever even considering it I placed a bid and the game was mine.
So glad I did never have I been so addicted to a game always my first choice when I feel like a game and never get tired of it.
Making me reconsider my thoughts on the modern Sterns.
Rock on !

The first step is admitting you have a problem.

I dont even need to press any buttons. The BIBLE just sitting there has a certain presence and does not look out of place in any room.
If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.
If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.
If you don't remember anything,  then read about it here,

I played a sited ACDC pro in not the best condition with a sticky left flipper and a very weak cannon but I still couldn't stop feeding coins into it. Awesome game
If I had the coin it would be in my collection for sure!!

AC/DC ruined me for all other pinball machines and I have this problem where I go to hit the fire button on other pinball machines and it just isn't there. It also got me addicted to Stern machines. I'm currently awaiting an updating for Metallica and hope it will achieve AC/DC greatness.

Cheers!
Adam.

Yes, the fire button is a beauty, especially during multi-ball. No other machine tests all your skills in such a demanding way as AC/DC. I also find the bell a key element of AC/DC. Great for cranking up the score in rapid fashion with 2x and 3x but you need to keep hitting it for longer benefits. The trade-off to the score accumulation is the risk of placing your shots quickly without drains and the wear and tear of the component (as Peter well knows).
