I have a slight issue with the left hand plunger. It can seem to get out of alignment in that it won't plunge properly and the ball will hit the sides of the left in lane and basically not pass there or even just feed into it. Do you think it could be a sleeve problem as it does seem to have a little more side to side play compared to the right plunger?

I don't think there should be any "side to side" movement. It is a very tight set up (on purpose I believe). Needs a tight sleeve - I had to keep that one black as the yellows I prefer are a bit fatter and would not work.

You can also loosen off the plunger mechanism and angle it, but I'd get that sleeve tight first as that might be it (given the plunger was probably installed 25 years ago and not touched since, less likely to have gone out of alignment).

Check the alignment of the plunger - the plunger rubber should sit dead centre to the shooter lane. Too far to one side will cause the problem you describe. It is adjusted by the three screws on the inside of the cabinet.

I think this is common issue with FH machines?  I have a mate's one here whilst he is overseas and it is very difficult to get working properly.

If you move the machine, it can be a problem as the game was level in one room and if the other room is not level then the cabinet can slightly distort, moving the alignment of the plunger. The playfield sits in the the lock down bar mechanism and there's enough "play" to mis align the plunger.
