if anyone wants some 3D printed mods I will be happy to consider and possibly offer the first one to the ideas person wanting it for free or for very, very little cost. Currently working on a Star Trek one now for the Pro.

What exactly do you mean by '3D printed'?  Do you have a pic of something to give us who have very little idea, a bit of an idea as to what sort of stuff you can do please?

check out this site, lots of samples that can be 3D printed in plastic of different colours

I don't want to release the project I am working on just yet, but the site will give you an idea and it's just size and imagination from there

then there is shapeways that say if I do a design and list it there that you buy the print off them not just in plastic but in various other materials like resin and metal.

Ahhh, very cool.  Some of the items on shapeways seem a bit pricey though.  Who decides on the price, the designer or them?

I can see the 3D printing opening up a whole other world of mods.  Thinking caps on.

hoping to have a example for one of the band pins printed by tonight

yeah shapeways isn't cheap with some stuff and I think it is a combination of the designer and Shapeways with the price but also learning myself about how certain details requires finer layers and if it needs fill etc so there are a few things to consider but the AFM brackets are very fairly priced.
