Parts availability
« on: December 01, 2013, 06:51:28 PM »
Hi all. I'm still looking for my first pin. If I were to buy a Gootlieb, Bally or Williams etc, are parts readily available?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

really comes down to a particular machine, best to ask the question once you found a potential machine to buy and generally many parts will be available for those brands. It's things like a worn playfield and plastics that will be harder to find for some / alot of machines.

You should have no trouble finding parts for most manufacturers. The only games you really need to stay away from are some of the EM manufacturers - Recel, Euroflip etc.

Williams, Bally, Stern Gottlieb all have spares and with Homepin's new developments, Zaccaria and Hankins are also an option.

Are you looking at restoring a table yourself?

I'd highly recommend starting with a Williams or Bally. I went with a Gottlieb and found out the hard way their schematics usually don't include every detail (little things like pin outs are missing).

That's my 2c worth.
