a interview with Mr Hankin would be cool

Yeah, I reckon that's a MUST next year...maybe we can finally find out what really went down with the EMPIRE STRIKES BACK licence. Any contacts or leads on who could get me in touch with David Hankin? I'm guessing the Pizza n Pinball boys up there could get me in the ball park.

Downloaded and ready to listen to it in the car on the way to work. Despite my addiction to technology, this is the first podcast I've actually downloaded in the podcast app on my phone.

Have also spread the word on Twitter and Facebook.

Cheers!
Adam.

Thanks Adam! Really appreciate it mate. I hope DOWNLOADING your first podcast wasn't as involved a process as UPLOADING my first podcast. It was like I was studying for my year 12 exams all over again...if my memory of what year 12 was like 20 odd years ago anyway. Hope you enjoy it.

Mike (Homepin) would be in regular contact with Hankin, and while you are at it, I'm sure Mike would be more than happy to spread the word about Thunderbirds !

Ill listen to this this evening! Cool to see enough people in Canberra on the same topic to warrant a podcast. I've done a number of podcasts in my time (slowly got together a collection of decent microphones) - they can be just as fun making them as listening to them.

Just finished listening to this great job. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who gets distracted trying to identify any pinball machine that pops up in a movie!

I had some doubts about this for some reason but I have to say it was surprisingly good! Well done!

Really friendly and interesting banter about pinball, looking forward to the next instalment.

Perfect pick for the music - that little clip from Sesame Street is indeed my first pinball memory, too! Hah.

BIG THANKS to the Australian pinball community for the amazing support we've received for our first episode! Testament to the enthusiasm & interest in pinball in Australia right now was the appearance of the Pinheadz Pinball PODcast at No.1 on iTUNES Australia TOP 10 Games & Hobbies Podcast Chart after only two days! I'm not sure there's a more niche category on iTunes...BUT WE'LL TAKE IT!

Looking forward to January for EP#2 already! I'm really excited about the interview I recorded with NiƱo at Australian Pinball Restorations last week...as one of the few Aussie kids to grow up in arcades with his dad being one of the country's first operators (if not THE FIRST back in the early 50's) he's a Pinhead who can give us a unique insight into a lifetime of our hobby. I'll let you know as soon as it's up - or just click any of the links below.
Thanks again.
Rod

Is there anyway to download this as a straight mp3 file?  I'd really like to listen to this podcast.

I have a real dislike for Apple, thier products and especially iTunes software.

Copy the itunes link from post 1 into the Store URL box in this link:
http://itunes.so-nik.com/
Press submit and it will give you a new link to pinheadz.com.au
Hit the link.
You will see a mp3 file labelled PPP001 - that is the podcast available in a direct downloadable form.

Here it is done. No Apple software downloads needed.  ^^^

No worries, CR.

I only bypassed ITunes because like pinballer I am not a fan of their software being installed on my PC and since you guys were generous enough to make the PODcast available for free I took the opportunity to grab a direct download instead.

Looking forward to Ep2 in the New Year.

What sort of setup are you using to record this? The quality is great...I'd be interested in hearing what sort of microphones you used! It's been a while since I've done any recording, but for podcasts I've got two Audio Technica AT3035s and run them into a little Yamaha desk, then to whatever I'm recording on.
