Very nice starting point; if the touch-ups are done well this will look very good.

Still slowly working away on this game .
Had last 2 days off, so yesterday I overhauled 6 of the 12 score reels . I used to be a bit aprehensive of doing score reels but not any more  %.%
The flyer turned up in the mail yesterday too.
Family day today so no work done

Good one  ^^^

Dave, you do enough of those score reels on an EM you can do them blindfolded after awhile.  :lol

Have always thought this was the most important part of an EM rebuild

Got motivated tonight and overhauled the Number Match Unit Stepper. This is a very important part of this game as it is the Blackjack dealers hand which is revealed at the end of each ball.
Every stepper will get this same treatment , including very pivot point is cleaned, polished and light smear with Superlube.

I know cleaning the outside of the disc has no impact on how the machine runs but it looks great  :D

Credit Unit and Ball Count Steppers have now been overhauled . Both of these barely worked before, mainly because the centre shaft was pretty gummed up .
Of course I also remove coil plunger and sleeve and clean/polish them .
I don't have any new sleeves on hand at the moment and the old ones are pretty much OK for now.

Here's the Credit Unit now (sorry .. no before Pics)

Oops .. forgot the other pic of the Ball Count unit .. last pic is the backbox now .

You can see from the player 1 score reels how dirty this is/was .
Still need to clean the 6 x player 1 score reel assemblies, all the relay switches , replace all the globes and the backbox will be done

Dave,

It's these 'little things' that really give your old EM new life.

Would be the first time in 42 years that any type of cleaning/rebuilding would of been done on the mechanical parts.

Hope you are enjoying the ride!
