Today I started on the playfield touchups .. the colour matching is damn hard as others have said in the past. Spent about 2/1 hrs experimenting trying to get a close match for the white , got a good match for the aqua and need to work a bit more on matching the yellow

This one shows the touchup in my 'antique white' I've done to the elbow on the girls arm , and my paint and smear in the larger single areas of colour such as the aqua

Last pic for now of the whole PF .. I've repainted under the areas where the plastics go, partly to freshen it up, and partly to help my 'antique white' blend in more (though I spose you won't see it much when the plastics are back on

The PF touchups are finished.  $#$
Its not perfect but a lot better than before and I can live with it now . This was my 1st ever attempt at PF touchups and I found it one of the hardest things I've ever done. No Pantone colour charts .. just mix by eye using basic colours of green, yellow, blue, red and white. The black outlines were the hardest of all . Doesn't help that I don't own a steady hand  #@#
I ended scrapping and redoing the white areas 3 times, as each time I managed to mix a closer colour match . I think I redid the left joker 4 times .. totally stuffed it when I tried to do the black outline and the J , so did those 1st and then painted into the borders  %.%

Maybe one day I'll redo it better .. who knows .. haven't waxed as yet.

Here's a few pics

Before and after (Elbow and face touched up)

Here's how the cards turned out .. the Ace and a couple of others were completed repainted , most of the rest just touched up .. now they are pretty much all the same colour and a few shades whiter than before

very well done. are the old nails on the playfield staying for a reason. i know people put them in later to stop sagging plastics but they are unecessary once  u flatten the plastics properly.

I've pulled the nails out since the pic was taken . All the plastics are in very good shape so I will only put the nails back if I find I really need to.
