World Cup 94 - Multiball Lock Question
« on: March 28, 2014, 02:12:35 AM »
My World Cup 94 pinball has a strange problem to do with the locking of balls for Multi-ball. When you shoot the left ramp and it hits the magnet, mine captures the ball, then almost instantly releases it back into the playfield after a second or two.
From memory, I thought that it was supposed to capture and keep the balls there, until you achieved multiball mode, then it released the balls to the playfield.

A kind person on this forum mentioned to me recently that "The post is held up by a spring so the coil is getting the wrong signal to engergise after it touches the switch where the ball rests" but wasnt sure how to correct the problem, can anyone assist?

Check the micro-switch is registering when the ball drops into the lock area. I had the upper lock switch not registering on my machine which caused a similar thing to happen during a 2 player game when a second person locked a ball. A slight switch adjustment and it was all good.
