"If I could ever go back in time.. I'd want to relive the moment.." - Well this is mine.
With the help of Marco, Marty and Greg, we have moved most games to the new building. I've had games stored for 2-6 years in a smaller building, that was filled to capacity. I can now SEE games I have not even unpacked in some cases. Most of the June 2013 imports were still wrapped up. Eventually, I wanted to set up the building as my Father had his building, in 1989 ish, when all the games were returned from route as he would up the business. Well today I got there.. They are almost all lined up.
There is one special moment I had with my 5 year old daughter, Chloe, who has spend almost every day with me (and his brother) unwrapping the toys. They have been just as enthusiastic as me. It has been a magical 5 weeks. Here is a picture of her battling with the wrapping on a 1965 Bally "Six Sticks". This is a SUPER rare title. There is one German game in Australia that I know of. This is the English version. This was the first 6 player game in history. A rare piece, but to see my 5 year old unwrap a game made before her parents were born was priceless.
The now infamous NINE Bally "Nip It" games. Famous for being a 70's game in a 50's diner (Happy Days).
Gottlieb EMs - These are all in excellent condition - except "Royal Flush" with needs playfield work. "Jet Spin" is pristine. One of the best EMs in terms of condition.
Bally EMs - I rate these much higher than Gottliebs. Four "Flip Flops" and a "Captain Fantastic". New playfield is going into the CF.
Now these three titles are perfect. Just flawless. Super rare, and I doubt these three will ever be seen in the same photo again. These games are out of a genuine collection. "Kick Off", "Knock Out", and "Boomerang". The latter has the "inverted headbox" - same as "Rogo" - which is still in storage.
My favorite era and manufacturer - Bally 1978 - 1981
Two of the "Eight Balls" and "Star Treks" are earmarked for "Nearly In Box". "Nitro Groundshaker" was snapped up by the next door neighbor after he saw the artwork - and he is a car collector.
The Bally "Nearly In Box" restoration queue..
That's some serious work lined up !
But I spend a lot (too much) time just looking at these amazing older games. So much history, and so many need to be recorded in pictures.
