Nino.

Will you be doing or announcing another Begresto Group Order ?
I missed the thread last time but wanted to buy a new Reproduction Black Knight 2000 glass that they said they had in stock and at a great price.
Wondered if it would be worthwhile going it alone or waiting for the next Group order ?

Anyone want to organise a back glass as well ?

I didn't organize anything except have my address as a s"drop off" for the Vic and NSW backglasses. I only repacked these glasses for shipping. So I did nothing in terms of organization. If someone wants to organize another shipment - I'd be happy to assist. i need more glasses, but don't have the time to chase up Steve. He can be very hard to get hold of.

Would be great if members who did order can post a quick review of their glasses ? I'll do a few as I ordered 3 glasses. The Bally "Champ" is really nice, but I have not installed it into the game. considering it didn't have a glass, it is an automatic improvement !

I think the next group order should be for the metail rails and plastic guides of these backglasses - but im not organising that after this ordeal.

I did have initial discussions with the supplier. I'll revist next week.

Picked up my Aztec backglass from the local TNT depot. Thanks Nino, all came good in one piece.

The packaging is very sturdy and the glass is well protected between several layers of very tough cardboard and well taped bubble wrap.

The edges of the glass are also taped.

The glass reproduction looks good and will give my machine a big face lift when I start the restoration. I will do a closer inspection and comparison to my original glass when I get a chance. The original glass is shabby and seen better days.

Not sure what these glasses would cost now, but the last order was well worth the wait. Thanks to all the guys who did all the chasing around.

That box is a custom CPR box that I repacked. Steve's boxes were 5 times that size ! He really packed them well. There's always been a stigma to backglass shipment but I've recited over 30 backglasses from CPR and sent around 15 to customers in these boxes without a single scratch !

I would be interested in a Gottlieb Thorobred glass . (Its not a glass that Steve has already done though)
I was part of a group buy from bgresto late last year on AA.
Between us  we bought 15 glasses which were shipped in 4 packages to 4 different addresses .
My glass (Gulfstream) cost $260 including shipping

Did you realy have to send in your old backglass, as stated on the BGResto website?

I sent an email enquiry on the weekend about a backless that BGResto already have the image for, and asked if I could buy a reproduction outright.  But a few days later I have got no response.

95 percent of the time = No

When I enquired a few weeks ago, to purchase 4 x different backglass es, they made it clear they did not want the old backglasses sent in at all.  Similar enquiry months ago and the answer was NO.

Has anyone else had to "send in" an old backglass this last 12 months ?

Not sure how this guy works. The products are good, but the service is lacking. I could have ordered another dozen backglasses. But no return emails..

I think he must have an email issue with some sort of software farming up his inbox because I have emailed him 3 times and always got a email back almost within 2 days max.
The only time it took about a week was when he was away on holidays and said so.

I am 3 from 3 successful.
I sent email from an outlook acct and even a 8 yr old hotmail acct and got responses.
Some will say it's not my ever charming personality, lol , so it must be something to do with email accounts or his security software which must lose some of his inbox traffic. That's my theory cause I don't usually have much luck. Lol

I do however, always include my
Home address
Business Address
Multiple Phone numbers
2 email addresses

To make re-contact easy ? Maybe it's because my email accounts have business names addresses and his software lets it thru. I have seen a lot of people lose a lot of business from dumb email security software. Some people don't even realise they have an inbox problem.

I hope GBResto gets back to me.  I think I've now crossed that line where pinball has become an obsession.

I've decided to get my old GTB Pro Football (1973) pinball to mint condition.  That means replacing my 8/10 back glass with a new one.  It also means that there will be a playfield heading to APR at some point.

I'll never get my money back on that game, but it has sentimental value to me.  There are a lot worse ways in life to waist your money.

(I'm even now thinking of operating a single machine - I'm applying a count down for that decision before deciding to GO for it)
