I don't know if there is a common IC Gav but seeing what the machine is doing, you would suspect that this might be the case.  I was starting to think down this track which is why we swapped out the lamp driver board and the solenoid driver board but this didn't make any difference.  The only board we can try swapping is the MPU board which might be worth doing just to see if this damn pop bumper globe lights up.

The light issue is with the left bumper and when the ball runs over the left lane switch above the bumpers it should light this left bumper but on occasion (approximately 50% of the time) it fires the right bumper. Not the light but the bumper, which obviously shouldn't happen regardless of which rollover it hits. Pretty weird really.

It can only happen if there is some common grounding... your path of electricity will go where there is the lesser resistance... sounds to me that these 2 are grounded together somewhere and the power will travel down either
