Ok pin is all good to go except for 1 prob.the 5000 when lit behind drop targets doesnty score. even when proper contact made manually with pf glass removed. I dont have. a manual or sch for it. Which transister etc should I test?

The switch closure sends a signal back to the CPU which then triggers a score on the display. You really need a  schematic, but switch matrix is A1j7 pins 10 through to  17.
Switch is also diode protected so first call would be to make sure this works as if its gone open then no signal will go back to the CPU..

Check all the Switch Matrix diodes. They are mounted on small boards under the playfield. They are obsolete 1n914, but you can use 1N4148 fast switching for this application.

Light box is 10amp had 30  amp fitted
Play board lamp 7.5amp had 30amp
8volt 5amp slow had 5 amp fast
25volt 5amp slow had 30 amp
69volt 1/4amp slow had 3/4amp
 
If it wasn't for you guys, I wouldn't have thought about checking this out on a working machine. Obviously they just put in what was laying around.

you sure can Chris, like I said if it wasnt for you guys on AP I'd also be none the wiser and have neglected to check. Pin still works fine with correct value fuses, so they were not put in to hide any problems.

I have plenty of stories. In fact, my golden rule for ANY game left in my workshop is that I check every single fuse before even powering on. This is even AFTER I spent the extra $ having 20+ GPOs divided up in separate circuits - all with safety switches.
