$#$
thats how you make them Gary  %.%

If they sell more than a few hundred TBL, I will be impressed.

they will, as alot of the US guys are impressed with it, I haven't watched the movie as yet, but on looks, sound and design it looks great - I would have one and look what they have done in 1 year. The quality or the toys and backdrops is excellent and so realistic - building lighting on the top playfield, the bowling alley, the return bowling chute. And even though the TBL purists would not agree but if they had a parental mode to turn the swearing off a heap more sales would happen allowing people that love bowling and the bowling atmosphere to enjoy it as well, could see this at bowling alleys being enjoyed.

That's one nice pinball I like cool apron to :)

Apron is very cool.. the 50's atomic stars are a real nice touch and its fine detail like this that makes an all round attractive package.
Whats the platform for this though?..Pretty sure we had some pics a while back of the CPU and it looked like a PC based game?

Its a Euro based pin that's going to do well US side... that's quite an achievement in itself

6240 Euro makes it a tad over $9K plus shipping.
Would bring final price just above a Stern LE

I think PC based by memory but I'm far from an expert. I'm scared of those after reading Mikes posts :)

What's the use of Heighway pinball even announcing a second pinball title when they are Farr from even releasing their first pinball title, as well as the fact the Heighway technology and platform hasn't proven itself yet.? Its a bit like JJP and the WOZ game being years behind then announcing the Hobbit....

I say get your first game done and prove its worth, then talk about number two title then otherwise it all seems to be too much far too early. Where is Heighway with its first title and costings..?
I think like a lot of the other start ups, they are all over value ing the success of their first title and the revenues raised.
If  JJP isn't in the profit yet with WOZ even with its massive prepaid scheme, how are any of these other start ups going to even have a chance to survive past title number one ?

Anyone got any up to date info about definate sale numbers for any of these start ups ?
It's going to be a long and rocky road to take money from established Stern buyers and make them change brand or logo IMO.

Full throttle is their second title
they have done another game that was a promotion for another company
I think they shipped about 250 units

Any photos or videos of this mystery game. I have never heard of it or ever seen any info on this forum about it. Do u know the name of the title, theme, cost etc. There must be a photo or video IF it exists and was made ???? Anyone know how far the Full Throttle game is away from finalised prototype and production, final costs and if there are any dealers worldwide or in Australia ?

Got sale numbers for Stern?

Jacks own words about profit from 3 or 4 months ago from a radio interview he did at a pinball expo.
We all know Stern easily sells a few thousand units per title plus their LE and Premium models.
These new companies taking on Stern are going to have to match price and reliable design to sway buyers.
Given most are PC based, this will not be an easy task. Time will tell.

I don't think many are PC based at the moment.

boards
stern
spooky
skitbpinball - pretty sure predator are going boards (started as p-roc)
PPS
Homepin

PC
JJP
P3

Unknown
dutch pinball - started out with a proc system but think I read somewhere they are going boards
Heighway - ????

Heighway did a machine called Bacardi with a limited batch of 250 units, don't know much more. They are looking at a Aus Distributor and pricing is out and reduced a little since early release figures.

Please keep this on topic. It is a thread about Expo 2014.

This is not a "stern is the best" thread. If this needs to be discussed (again), then start a new thread.  (((

Nelly's Buffy is looking great - he has done an awesome job - it is a proc transformation of a swords of fury.

Great pics Peter, thanks for posting them. I haven't heard anything about the sonic pin before, looks good and I love the Buffy pin. It's also interesting to the see backbox and under Playfield of the MMR.

hobbit video - the targets were different with what look like shields popping up in front of them in a sequence around the playfield, top flipper doesn't seem to do alot.

demo cab, playfields installed and I think most of the pf(s) hardware is mounted
I'm not sure how far James and Paul have gotten with the electronics.

Amazing game, unique in so may ways. Can't imagine ever getting to play one.

+1 Beautiful looking game, love to see one in the flesh some day.
