Terminator 2 colour match
« on: November 13, 2014, 10:49:27 AM »
Having difficulty matching one of the colours on the playfield.

There is 5 coloured rings around the pop bumpers.

Black, Red, Black, ?fluorescent orange? Black.

This is also the same colour that surrounds most inserts.

I totally appreciate variations in playfields depending on age, use and light exposure, but can anyone head me in a direction.

Thanks heaps

I had a similar problem when I owned a Segasa Travel Time... a flouro orange!

In the end I got some flouro acrylic from the craft/ hobby shop and tinted it using another acrylic to make it match. In my case, it required a touch of yellow, but looking at that pic of yours id suggest a mid red be added

Try regular fluoro orange dulled with a tiny bit of regular orange or gray.  Btw what sort of paints are you using?

I can't help with color matching, so my wife does it for me. It would take me hours of paint wastage, and she would do it in 5 minutes. What I'm saying is to ask someone you know to match the colours for you if you run into trouble.

Thanks guys,
my wife is on the way home now with frisket film and an orange fluorescent to try. Also have a different branded bright red. Looks like some mixing is needed - THIS is NOT my forte'
Paints are water based acrylic.

Appreciate the advice
Trent
