NEW Star Wars Pinball ?
« on: November 23, 2014, 12:54:29 AM »
With the Star Wars franchise about to release its next Star Wars movie - Star Wars Episode 7 (then the movies name) etc etc, do you think Stern or JJP or someone will try to secure rights to do a new pinball machine ?

Traditionally, everything Star Wars has usually faired very well.

Do u think someone will do a new Star Wars pinny ?

And if so, would you buy it ? Assuming it's great build.

Does the Star Wars theme interest you on a new Pinball machine ?

(JJPs use of a large colour LCD screen would do the movie annimations well)...,

Thoughts anyone ? !@#

With the franchise being refreshed,  I think it's inevitable we see a new Star Wars pin pop up. I'd also think that Stern will fight for this title. I think Jersey Jack will continue with their Warner Bros games and I'd like to see them produce a Harry Potter game. Not a fan of Harry Potter, but I think they could do the theme justice.

Cheers!
Adam.

Most definitely. Star Wars is one of the best themes for pinball - everyone has seen at least one of the movies !

it would probably come from Stern as they already have a relationship with Disney

Whoever makes it, it would want to be good because the Star Wars Episode 1 platform had excellent graphics and very cool playfield features.

I think JJP would have to do it to utilise the big LCD.
The Pin 2000 felt a little like a widebody as well.
The large neon light sabre could make a comeback. I would like to see that make a comeback.
A large X Fighter would be cool as well.

Luke Skywalker close up or Han Solo in the previous.
These are huge for $39.
My son Hunter is tall so they are value for money.

They come with a large and very accurate storm trooper blaster.
I didn't look to see if the Storm Trooper helmet was or wasn't attached to the rear of the packaging.

Really good detail on these. Gamesroom eye candy for under $40 !

I doubt if Stern could do this game justice, besides I don't like the LE, premium and pro business model that they have.
JJP would get my vote if they could get the licence.
