Agree.. but knowing Mike id say that he  also didn't want to have to rely on "other" parts manufacturers to be able to do this and future ventures. you're never really in control of your product if  others control your supply

Gavs point is spot on. Control your stock and u control your business.
Outsourcing works well but not if you are outside of the USA for pinball parts.
If Mike was to buy in bulk from a supplier in the USA and ship around the world he wouldn't be able to make a profit.
The only viable way was for Mike to manufacture as much as he could.
It will hurt to start off with but will be worth it in the long run.

Here's hoping Mike makes the plastic slides available, a part that would be great, especially for old EM's where the original channel is long since perished.

The points about supply made above are correct but also it is very difficult and costly to import items like this into China. It works out cheaper to make them myself and then have guaranteed supply and quality control.
