Are we going to end up like Facebook ? Lol

IF people get lazy and just hit the Like or Thanks button, will people posting personable comments be a thing of the past. These days there are barely enough comments on the majority of threads.
Will these new buttons make threads an extra ghost town.

I like seeing people post comments. Your learn more about people, life and pinball by reading comments.
Food for thought.

True, as evidenced on other forums, having a 'like' function has reduced replies or input. Hit the like and that's their contribution. Also some people gear comments towards hopefully getting a like! Rather than true opinion.

Classic. Lol
It's funny how technology has changed the way we communicate as a species.
Once upon a time, you would go to bed with your wife and talk about how great it was or wasn't.
I think they used to call it a "discussion".
Now, after you have a shower, u just give a LIKE or DISLIKE or a NON COMMENT. Lol
And social media knows your wife's opinion well before u even get it. Sad but true.

When my daughter didn't have a i.phone and a I.pad and a laptop we used to talk all the time, but these days your lucky to get a conversation cause the kids are too busy on social media.
I have more chance of getting a response from my daughter by sending her a Facebook message than I have by walking up and talking to her at age 13.

I miss the days when mobile phones and the Internet were not here. You actually spoke to people and went around to each other's houses. Not these days. We just type sadly. And now, some of don't even type, we just hit buttons.

How will we communicate in ten or twenty years times ?

Reminds me of the Johnny Mnemonic Pinball. Lol
(Had to throw in a pinball tie-in).lol

I'd like to LIKE all the threads in the tech help and resto sections. In fact what's not to like in all the threads good and bad when you think about.

Don't have a major concern for like or dislike function but find it interesting that the 1 hr time limit for changing a post so statements can be preserved but then a whole thread can be removed about fixing a video pin - why has it been removed.

Members with moderation rights can do this, but I don't know why it would have been removed in this case.

Maybe PM the author and ask.
