Ok - I misunderstood the 1978 as the date you thought they started.

One thing is definite - both pinball manufacturing
and Kiss won't be around in 37 years !

My biggest fear is if Stern have caved into using artwork of the current line up. I agree that the music will be only from the classic era - so I'm hoping that any music used HAS to reflect the artwork. If the songs are from the 70's then the artwork should be.

This title has potential if the license is used with a view to being an option for old farts with money. I want this title to be Sterns biggest game to date. I want to be positive,. I really dislike the use of the former members personas. It is a kiss fan issue.

Yes, kiss fans bitch more than pinball people.

If your spending the $ on a title/theme you really like, you are allowed to be picky. It's also fair to say that some people have been waiting decades for someone to make this Pinny so expectations will be very high.
I just hope the deciding band members listen to what the fans want to see.
I am still unsure that Stern will be really making this title.
Sometimes I think it's too good to be true.
Should be a massive seller.

What country currently importing brand new Sterns wouldn't want it.
If Stern does the Pro, Premium and LE. There should be something that appeals to everyone.
I can see a lot of people grabbing the MasterCard for this one.

On facebook last night, Steve Ritchie of Stern let out a hint on a post about a new Stern team member who Steve worked on Black Knight 2000 with, a fellow called Brian Schmidt.

Steve said to Brian that he and his team are going to ROCK again on his next Stern 2015 title.
And with the talk being about soundtracks on pinballs and audio, it wasn't to much of a stretch to believe The King SR. was hinting at the KISS pinball being his next release. That's the way it came accross to me anyway so it's the first solid hint from Steve about his next title.

Really thinking that the next pin will be music no matter what. We just have to see now if it's KISS or another Rock band ?

Iconic photo of the Love Gun set during the outro to Black Diamond. Amazing photo.

If these use the artwork from this period - it will be a massive seller. Thinking about all the fans that have sold their collections over the years (due to the cover band line up) - they will be cashed up and this would be the best idea for Gene to get that money back in their pockets.

Watched a documentary about Gene And his KISS merchandising.
As at 2014 he said he had licenced 2501 KISS products for current sale.

That will be 2502 if Stern does a new Pinball.

Unless I missed it, I have never seen an original KISS pinball at Genes various homes or his KISS merchandising offices. That's the first thing I thought I would have seen.

Does anyone know (prob a question Nino could answer ?) if Gene LIKES playing pinball or not a pinball player ?

The guys played the Bally machine during their Australian tour in 1979 - check out the 60 minutes below at around 1:30

They seem to be playing OK and the tongue is wagging in tune to the quick scoring:

I wonder if that machine was signed by the boys? Maybe in someone's collection!

Good to know Gene has pinballs. I must have missed that episode where they showed them.
I am sure there will be a 2015 TV show with Gene and family playing the new Stern version.

I am hoping Stern does 2 x LE Versions. 1 x Premium and the Pro.
Just hope the prices aren't a cash grab and stupidly too high.
They would be sooo much smarter if they made this title very affordable and they will sell twice as much.

No need to while there is a strong KISS army out there.

KISS tour October hell yeah  :)
 https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=806916386012090

I'm done with this line up. The CRAP that they are doing over in Japan is simply mindless stupidity. The tour is rumored to have Whitesnake as an opener. This line up are too conservative with the opening acts !

Ace Frehley is touring in May - that will be an awesome show !
